The heavyweight MMA fighter Josh Hokit is flailing badly, sweating and in pain. His UFC cage fight on the White House South Lawn is still four days away, but here onstage at Media Day, in the somewhat gloomy basement ballroom level of the JW Marriott, the pressure is on. It’s because he has, for some reason, chosen to do a comedy bit for the reporters. But it’s a confusing and unsuccessful bit. He tells a joke about photographing an overweight woman “and the picture’s still being printed,” and a joke about another overweight woman making French toast who “got her tongue stuck in the toaster.”
