Let’s Talk About ‘Lovers XXX’

LOVERS XXX (2026) tells the story of best friends Winnie and Jude. The novel, set in the neon-lit porn scene of 1980s Los Angeles, follows the two young women who meet while working at a Sunset Strip club. They soon move into adult modeling, then to shooting hardcore porn. Drawn in by the sexual liberation, drugs, and glamour this life seems to promise, the two are also confronted by precarity, sexism, and exploitation. They have quite different attitudes and interpretations of what they experience. Thirty years after a sudden end to their friendship, the newly divorced Winnie faces her past of sexual violence and betrayal, determined to get to the bottom of what happened to Jude, who has long been presumed dead.
