The Midlife Tradwife

There are two novels dominating reading clubs and the Amazon Best Sellers list this summer: Yesteryear and The Correspondent. Yesteryear follows a younger Millennial tradwife influencer (loosely based on the Ballerina Farm account, according to speculation) and how her life evolves from simple to very, very complicated in a terrible way. The Correspondent is a series of letters from an older Baby Boomer who focused on her career and clung to the tradition of writing letters. Her life evolves from complicated to simple, but in a wonderful way. Both highlight how these two women preserve traditions like letter writing, baking bread from scratch, and family secrets.
