The Poetry of Independence

American Quartet was originally commissioned to serve as part of the celebration of our nation’s semiquincentennial. The poems were included in the National Time Capsule, and I gave three performances of the poems on the NEA and NEH’s cosponsored Legacy Stage as part of the American State Fair events leading up to July 4.
