The Aggro-Girl Visibility of Megyn Kelly

When most people think about female rock stars and punk heroes, they do not think about conservative broadcast journalists or opinion makers. They think about people like Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna, Hole’s Courtney Love, or Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders. Younger millennials might think of emo queens like Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Some say punk is dead, and the dearth of Gen Z punk stars (that I am aware of) may give evidence to this claim. But for me, Megyn Kelly has assumed the archetypal mantle of grrrl, and satisfied my desire to see rage expressed through a particularly feminine voice.
