I have written a fair number of provocative things over the years, but nothing that’s stirred up as much evident unease in people who otherwise think highly of me as my recent post announcing the launch of my new app, Temper,  which uses AI to help people de-escalate text fights. The Temper backstory, I think, is worth sharing before I get into why I think it’s proven so discomfiting.
