Inside the Spencer Pratt Fundraiser Circuit

In 2015, I toured the Rust Belt, exploring the ruins of Pittsburgh, Detroit, Youngstown, and Gary. What I saw wasn’t blight, which is what I’d been told was there; just some light blight. You know, ‘cause the world is flat now, just a little globalization, no big deal, nothing to worry about. What I saw was the aftermath of a bombing campaign. Our cities weren’t “in decline,” they were blown to shreds. If flyover country gets carpet-bombed and there’s no media elites to hear it, does it make a sound? The answer, I think, is yes. The thermodynamic god demands an equal and opposite reaction. So in 2016, when Trump rode down that golden escalator declaring the death of the American Dream, I knew that he would win.
