The New Terrorists

I have always had a problem with the “extremism industry,” and I could never quite place what it was. It isn’t that extremism doesn’t exist in American politics. The internet has made a great deal of it more visible than it would otherwise be, and while it’s taken me a long time—I’m, unfortunately, constitutionally contrarian—I do finally believe in that bogeyman, “radicalization pipelines.”
