Michael Robinavitch will live to intubate another day. From the beginning of The Pitt season two, there’s been something clearly off about our hero, senior attending physician Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch. The twinkle in his eye, a trademark of Noah Wyle’s Emmy-winning performance last season, is noticeably dimmed. By the back half of the season, Robby is fully fraying and crashing out, barking at subordinates and carrying on conversations ahead of his “sabbatical” with a bizarre air of finality, before admitting in the penultimate episode that he’s not sure if he “wants to be here anymore.”
