The Whitney Review Is More Than Just Whitney

What happens when a group of hot, smart people come together? The Whitney Review of New Writing! Founded by Whitney Mallett, and now coming up on its three-year mark, the review has quickly become a home for writing that doesn’t quite fit anywhere else. Unlike a traditional literary review, it’s built on short-format criticism, and serves up the IYKYK of the literary world on a silver platter. As Mallett puts it, “We’re interested in capturing something that feels like what’s being whispered about, rather than just summarizing it.”
