National Library Week Will Soon Be Here

Originally conceived in 1958 and sponsored by the American Library Association, the weeklong celebration is a full seven days set aside to highlight “the valuable role libraries, librarians and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.” There are yearly themes, and in 2015, an illustrated history was published, and now there’s a hashtag (#NationalLibraryWeek) along with downloads for tools and resources.
