My Fear (& Hope) for Gen Z Converts

As we all know by now, Catholic churches around the US saw record numbers of baptisms and confirmations last weekend. This is part and parcel of the so-called zoomer religious revival. While the data is still shaky, the fact is that we are certainly seeing a vibe shift: few zoomers take the antagonistic attitude toward religion as a force of oppression and backwardness that many millennials and Gen Xers have. Even progressive, non-religious zoomers think religion is in the least “interesting,” if not “based.”1
