What I Did When the World Went Crazy

I have been trying to write this article for approximately the last eight months. When The Freeman approached me and asked if I had anything to say about the “professional pivots” I’ve made in an effort to navigate the changing information landscape and collapse of legacy media, my immediate response was hell yes, I have a lot to say. My second response was that I was in the middle of planning multiple live events, including a weekend-long ideas conference that would have 30 attendees, eight guest speakers, and very expensive catering, and that I wouldn’t be able to write anything until closer to the end of the year.
