The Best & Worst Movies I Watched In 2025

The movies are dying — or at least my desire to see new wide-releases. A myriad of reasons feed into that cynicism, but ultimately, this has been festering for years. The heavy-handed ideological bents. The lack of originality. Subpar filmmaking (is every movie badly colorized and lit?). And short-term release windows, which prevent me from actually seeing movies in theaters.
