Freedom to Speak, and Freedom from Fear

On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was murdered while hosting one of his trademark public debates at Utah Valley University. The news caused me to grab my Bible and drive to the nearest Catholic church to pray. I can’t imagine how this feels for those who knew him and loved him, especially his wife, Erika, and their two young children. Because, though I never knew Charlie Kirk, I cried on and off for several days.
