Sydney Sweeney Has Great Scenes

This weekend on August 15th, my first movie as a writer-director — Americana — lands in theaters. It’s a crazy quilt of a small town crime story set on the modern day South Dakota-Wyoming border that gradually turns into an old school bloody Western. The story is about a handful of characters who all feel out of place in the modern West. When a priceless Lakota artifact called the Ghost Shirt falls onto the black market, all these characters pursue it, believing it’ll improve their lives. Some of these characters are wildly mistaken.
