While everyone else was still bleach-wiping their groceries, Morrison and Dvorak—who run Two Gay Expats, a social media account offering travel tips and hotel reviews for queer travelers—were sipping mezcal in Tulum. And when construction delays forced them to find a temporary home away from their new home, they made their way to a mile-long stretch of sand called Playa Zipolite, a haven for nudists and other free thinkers that’s fascinated writers and filmmakers for decades.
