The Spiritual Heart of 'Sinners'

Set in the Jim Crow South, Sinners tells the story of the opening night at a nightclub, started by two brothers exclusively for the Black sharecropping community from which they emerged. Lured there by the (literally) magical music he hears, an Irish vampire arrives, desiring to take possession of the people, songs, and stories inside.
