Over the last week, the sportswriter Jeff Pearlman has become the new internet hate object. Pearlman, perhaps best known for writing a book about the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers that was turned into an HBO series, was caught doling out advice to young sportswriters who have been suffering through the full-scale collapse of print and online media.
