The Violent Faith of Cormac McCarthy

Cormac McCarthy, whose stark, quintessentially American novels have frustrated, infuriated, and inspired a generation of writers, passed away at the age of 89 on June 13, 2023. He wrote to the very end, publishing two new books back-to-back in 2022.
