‘Young Picasso in Paris’: A Giant Comes of Age

Pablo Picasso is an artist about whom we already know plenty. More books and exhibitions have been devoted to the 20th-century titan than to any other modern master. Yet audiences still hunger for Picasso. Half a century since his death at age 91, he and his work continue to be a rich and viable, if not inexhaustible, subject. This year alone, some 50 major Picasso shows and events are being held across Europe and the U.S. as part of “Picasso Celebration: 1973-2023,” organized by the Musée Picasso-Paris.
