A problem with the media conversation around Andrew Tate is that it’s mainly conducted by a journalistic and academic class that believes masculinity is a ‘social construct’. They don’t understand the need for masculine male role models because they’ve never wanted for them (one reason perhaps being that members of the middle classes are less likely to come from families with absent fathers).
