‘An Admirable Point’ Review: Exclaim Yourself!

Generally speaking I’m disinclined to use the first person in reviews, much less with emphatic punctuation. But as the British scholar of the Renaissance Florence Hazrat persuasively explains in “An Admirable Point: A Brief History of the Exclamation Mark!” punctuation’s venerable fortissimo has long since established its utility, though disagreements about its appropriateness have accompanied it since it appeared.
