What Do I Say Next? Fast.

Berrigan’s poems are paced like the films of the New Wave, and they’re at least as funny. In fact, his work makes me laugh as much as, or more than, I do when watching, say, Bill Murray comedies. But I also feel Fellini-esque anguish when reading Berrigan, which is as true of his prose as it is his poems.
