“Trump Revealed” by Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher is a best-selling account of the life of our next president, with an emphasis on his business and political careers. It starts with his mother's birth in Scotland and ends with his nomination by the Republican Party.

As with 2012's “The Real Romney,” also co-authored by Kranish, it draws on a large news team – in this case, more than 20 staffers from The Washington Post. Their research was supplemented by numerous interviews with Trump. The book benefits greatly from the in-depth reporting so critical to Jeffersonian democracy in the day of the tweet, the blog and the self-congratulatory mockery of “fair and balanced” journalism.
