Here is a whine - "Ugh, I'm sick again."
And here is a White Whine - "Ugh, every time I go to Paris I get sick."
The difference is subtle, but it's there. To be a White Whiner your complaint must convey, simultaneously, that you are both fortunate and irritated. Nothing gets people whining more than flying to an exotic location so they don't lose their vacation time at the end of the year.
