Pynchon’s latest, Bleeding Edge is one part wacky detective story and one part lunatic conspiracy theory. It’s cheesy and downright twee at times, while building a convincing paranoia regarding the government, the internet, and our privacy (or lack thereof). And since it’s Pynchon, the character names are ludicrous and sprinkled throughout the tome like candy.
