Everything You Knew About Dinosaurs Is Wrong

After devouring a pile of dinosaur books when I was 7, I absorbed two crucial scientific facts. One, dinosaurs were awesome. Two, it's no wonder they went extinct. Although fearsome of tooth and claw, the dinosaurs in those books lumbered about like bumbling oafs. They were coldblooded and dragged their tails, and the biggest ones had to live in water, lest their immense weight splinter their bones. They had Tic Tac-size brains, and with their drab, greenish-brown skins, they even looked dull. Compared with quick, smart, adaptable mammals, dinosaurs were dodos, and the asteroid that wiped them out 65 million years ago almost did them a favor.
