In the February 11 issue of The New Republic, Hillary Kelly castigates Bookish.com, a website that recommends books to users on the basis of titles that they have previously read, for ‘a failure of imagination.‘ Bookish, you see, did not refer her to books that were sufficiently ‘similar’ to the titles she entered into its ‘pitiful recommendations engine’.
