Batman now has a bigger enemy, in the shape of Rupert Murdoch, whose Fox News – reviled by the left, but with a reach into more than 100m US households – is taking on the superhero and his DC Comics cohorts, criticising the comics for scenes including "Batman and Catwoman having sex on the rooftop, a drunken Bruce Wayne, and graphic images of blood-splattered battles with heads chopped off".
