Last Sunday, in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ locker room, after the team’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, 111–85, the young star Anthony Edwards sat back in a chair surrounded by microphones. He’d scored thirty-two points, but he’d also had four turnovers in the first six minutes, and he coughed up four more before the game was done. The rest of the team was also fumbling, and everyone but Edwards had struggled to score. The Timberwolves had sixteen turnovers by halftime.
